To be fair, people are always disappointed so it doesn’t matter really, lol. But probably if you pay full attention, it’s always the same people typing nonsense.

And people that talk coherent and objectively not always have the patience to go to the internet answering to trolls. I think this album so far having a very positive reaction and hopefully can reach some general audience too in the mean time.

My local record stores all have a surplus of S/T and the acoustic version so I'm willing to bet Lucro Sucio will be the same. Gonna wait to buy a copy locally and save myself the shipping.

Also it's been pointed out on the reddit but the poster they are selling is comically bad.

i only listened to the leak a few times and stopped but now 2 months later bits of it are popping in my head, can't wait to hear the album again!

I'm not listening to the album until it comes out now, last listen was last week at some point. I'm excited for the LP to arrive and to hear the final version that is released in full quality. I am hoping that the mix / master is a little better, because there's something claustrophobic about the version that leaked, almost like it's a faux-surround version or some sort of dolby atmos downmix. But that could just be cope. Anyways I am hopeful and looking forward to maybe seeing some promo from CH and TMV after it officially releases haha
What if the album drops and they still remain silent...

edit: okay they have started making some posts about the album! and posted a clip on Spotify that I had to use the Spotify app to view, and it's a clip from Cue the Sun. I compared it to the leak and it sounds identical! So likely it will only be a bitrate improvement in terms of the sonics.

Been trying to dissect it in the last couple of days. I was showing it to my wife and she found it allusive to some arctic or sub artic cartography and actually it made sense to me, been trying to compare with, but so far nothing in concrete, only suggestive similarities. The central point/island wtv it is seems to match with los ojos del vacio theme. it might be the eye or something like that. Anyway I couldn't find any island in the arctic area similar shapes to that one, so far.

i really love the album. it's been a while for me at least since omar and cedric made a cohesive work like this.

Read from the inside out. The character starts on the inside island and makes their way through the constellations.

Can someone check the vinyl records themselves and let us know if there’s any etchings at the center.

This is only the beginning of the mystery. There’s still a lot to figure out and the interpretation I gave could be totally incorrect.

It was not my intention to spoil anything. I’m sorry! Since everyone was discussing the art and how there’s clues in it, I figured it was safe to post. Haha.

haha, no worries. Didn't realize it's your own.

My last interpretation is that the center point is a volcano, which makes sense to the ojo concept. Which probably destroys my initial theory, hah. Anyway, more clues are welcome to the discussion!

I am so tempted to say it’s their best since 2006!!

Absolutely might get there once the album settles for me. Official lyrics are apparently on apple music, so the deciphering can begin.

i went back and listened to the discography in the wait for this and octahedron is a really nice album, way better than i remembered. it just had the misfortune of following 4 of the craziest albums of all time and it also probably didn't help that it was also sandwiched between cryptomnesia and xenophanes at release. but as it's own thing it holds well.

anyway i'd put lucro on the level of tbig/octa.

Cool, seems like parts of it came from S/T sessions and got cut up and repurposes. I wonder what came from where - album sounds incredibly cohesive for something that was made so piecemeal while touring.

okay this might be insane but with the stuff about this being a real location and Johann posting about the clues on instagram, I wonder about the significance of the location in question. Like once it's found, what then? will it be a place with a story or tale that will give something about the concept, or is it like a 'dude, come' thing with the cube where there is something at that location to be discovered by fans who visit??
Johann wrote:What looks abstract at first is actually full of real-world clues. The constellations on the cover are from the northern hemisphere - but turned upside down. This shift creates a new focal point on the artwork and makes the map less obvious at first glance.

There are three elements you can use to triangulate a specific location:
1. The inverted constellations (for astronomical navigation)
2. A real topographic map of the area
3. A printed plan showing paths and routes
Some details are hidden in the embossing - meant to be discovered through touch, not sight. This is more than just a cover. It’s a layered design that asks to be explored.
I wonder as well, with the constellations inverted and the embossing on the art, is the thing supposed to be flipped over to the opposite side, ie. is it reversed+upside down? is what looks like raised land actually a crater etc?

I think the specific location is somewhere in Northern Mexico.

Mictlán is related to Aztec mythology tbf.

Btw, got my record today but haven’t had the chance to explore it, but tomorrow definitely gonna do it.
