First live performance in 10 years!
First live performance in 10 years!
Tomorrow is the day of the first gig!! I caught their very last show in their original run, 2012 HMV Forum in London. Took a chance and travelled from Ireland to the UK for it. Matt their sound engineer told me after the performance that that would be the last show. I thought he meant last show of the tour, but then he corrected me - 'for good'. Glad that didn't turn out to be true in the long run, but it was as true as anything at the time and I still feel incredibly lucky that I did go to that gig. It was incredible and I'm so glad I got to see them with Deantoni and Juan. But now it's a whole new era and we don't even know who is going to be on stage with the 2 lads tomorrow, no ideas what songs will be played. Very exciting times, and really hoping there's plenty of recordings to go around!! Any songs from the new album you hope they play, and any 'classic' tracks you're hoping for? New arrangements will be fantastic to hear, and any jamming / live-only stuff like Jacob Jam would really be the icing on the cake.

I’m ready to see this setlist
Re: First live performance in 10 years!
2023 leg of the tour began, i was kinda hoping for more of the newer stuff, even kinda expected some new new unreleased stuff, but looks to be mostly the same setlist. good to see some of the newer tracks tho!

Too many slow jams for my liking. They could play one of Shore Story, Televators or The Widow and that'd be enough. Gutted that Viscera still isn't back on the setlist, or that they're not playing anything from Bedlam. Still not sold on Inertiatic being a good closer, either. I'm seeing them next month in London and I'm not entirely thrilled with that setlist, I gotta say. Flash Burns isn't a great song whichever way you look at it, and the setlist is too slow for my liking. It's only Roulette, Cygnus, LVia and Cicatriz to get the blood pumping. The rest will make me wish I'd bought a seating ticket.
