I just joined after finding out the Comatorium is no longer up, sad news. I'm based out of LA but I'm originally from Austin, TX

Omar and Cedric's music has meant a lot to me over the years and being hispanic myself I felt a kinship with their aesthetic and style.

Where are y'all from? When did you first discover Volta or the related acts?

-Mike

Hi, welcome!! Glad you found the place.

I am from Ireland, and I was first introduced to TMV through 'The Widow' by a friend of a friend, and proceeded to have my brain exploded open after checking out their albums. It was my first exposure to prog music in any real capacity (closest things before that for me might have been like Radiohead, Muse, some Pixies and QOTSA stuff, etc.). That sent me on a long journey to where I am now, totally addicted to complex satisfying music and familiar with Omar's entire solo discography haha

DJzap I'm actually moving to London this summer.

I've been going through Omar's discography as well, taking time to really listen to each album, it seemed daunting really, there are so many.

I'm from scotland and i found out about the volta from antemasque haha. I was a big fan of rhcp and i was exploring adjacent projects (flea played for antemasque) and like 3 years after knowing antemasque i suddenly come upon the widow music vid. i liked it but didnt look further until one day i decided to listen to the whole album. Loved it haha and its been crazy love ever since!

From Connecticut. Discovered them with friends shortly after Frances and was blown away. They’re one of my favorite bands. The days of the Amp leak were epic hearing Tetragrammaton for the first time. Saw them live in New Haven at Toad’s place. Btw anyone have the leakkkkk??? DM please?

Dear friend introduced me to Deloused right around the time they were touring with Soundgarden pre-Noct. Saw them at that show and never looked back.

I ran across the video for The Widow back when music videos were still on TV. Thought it was one of the coolest videos I'd ever seen. that lead me to Deloused and the rest is history.

I first heard of them from a friend when Frances first came out and I've never looked back; I've been obsessed ever since. I signed up for the comatorium shortly thereafter. Happy to find this place!
