the disappearance of the coma seems a lot more permanent now... very very sad. and it's hard to get things going here, but if this is all we'll have for forum type discussions then i hope we can get the word out somewhat!

its a shame because discussion on reddit is so different than a forum. here there is no hierarchy, all posts are seen in chronological order in one big chain.
on reddit, you simply won't be shown some comments, the upvotes dictate the order you see them in, etc.
it's really more like collected individual comments rather than a discussion, whereas in this context you are really pushed into a discussion
even the likes of discord don't really scratch that itch with how comments just get lost after a small amount of discussion, versus the permanence of easily reading back through a thread with a particular topic

Yeah, I can see those benefits! But if someone, say, just wanted news, or to engage with other fans in some way, reddit does that fine.
