Re: hi
I am also pretty attached to the functionment of forums and wasn't able to switch to reddit or discord. Well discord is just like online chat places that existed before, but reddit I don't get it. Everything always seems to get lost.
I miss the coma :'(
I miss the coma :'(
Re: hi
i missed the coma like INSTANTLY because it went down just as the album released... like ffs! i felt like so much conversation was missed because of that, i didn't know where to go with my excitement!
the reddit and facebook interfaces just suck in comparison to forum style conversation, or at least, for what im used to...
i would love for this to become comparably active to at least how the coma was in its last few months, which doesn't seem impossible now that the band are active active again

its possible to set up a forum like folders in discorddjzap wrote: ↑Mon Mar 13, 2023 11:13 pmits a shame because discussion on reddit is so different than a forum. here there is no hierarchy, all posts are seen in chronological order in one big chain.Somniloquist wrote: ↑Mon Mar 13, 2023 8:25 pm I think the subreddit might scratch that itch for some people.
on reddit, you simply won't be shown some comments, the upvotes dictate the order you see them in, etc.
it's really more like collected individual comments rather than a discussion, whereas in this context you are really pushed into a discussion
even the likes of discord don't really scratch that itch with how comments just get lost after a small amount of discussion, versus the permanence of easily reading back through a thread with a particular topic

Nah discord is ass for reading anything posted more than a few hours agoAndrewf wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2023 10:13 pmits possible to set up a forum like folders in discorddjzap wrote: ↑Mon Mar 13, 2023 11:13 pmits a shame because discussion on reddit is so different than a forum. here there is no hierarchy, all posts are seen in chronological order in one big chain.Somniloquist wrote: ↑Mon Mar 13, 2023 8:25 pm I think the subreddit might scratch that itch for some people.
